CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

Yoga means to yoke or unite. In its most simplistic form, yoga is a system of specific poses (asanas), breathing exercises (pranayama) and meditation exercises designed to heal, purify and bring awareness and balance to both body and mind.

Each balanceYoga session will include flow vinyasas and yoga postures as well as focused breathing and intentional relaxation to promote optimal health, well-being and balance.

Aerial Yoga - (No classes at this time - Private Sessions Only) Aerial Yoga is a modern style of yoga that incorporates a soft fabric hammock to explore alignment, release chronic tension, and experience lightness and freedom in your practice.

Aerial yoga helps you to move more freely, with less effort, by counteracting gravity. Suspension in the air releases tension on the bones and muscles, increasing flexibility and deepening your practice. Suspended yoga strengthens core muscles and increases spinal and shoulder flexibility.

We encourage you to begin your aerial yoga journey with “Intro to Aerial Yoga”, “Gentle Elevation” or “All Levels Aerial Yoga”. Even if you are advanced in standard yoga, we recommend starting with these all-level classes for your comfort and more ease in your practice, as you are learning.

Peaceful Flow - “Peaceful Flow” is a yoga class focused on providing time on our mats to unite body, mind & spirit. This “Yin” inspired yoga class will focus on deep meditative stretching surrounded by calming music. It is true that as we age, our “fascia” (connective tissue) begins to tighten. In this class, we will peacefully stretch our “fascia.” Yin yoga soothes and calms us. “Peaceful Flow” comes in the middle of the week for a reason; so you can find time to center yourself as you enter into the rest of the week. In this class we will take time to be still, to find calm and softness in our lives. The time we will spend in poses calms the nervous system, creating a relaxed state of body and mind. So, come and join me on your mat to slow down, find calm and be still. This class is suitable for all levels!
