Courtney Witt
RYT

Courtney received her 200 hour certification as a Nationally Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) through balanceYoga by Amanda’s 2017 Yoga Teacher Training. She is excited to share her love of yoga with all of you, as a teacher!

"I am drawn to the slower practices of yoga found in Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga and Gentle Flows because they allow us to turn inward and focus on listening to our body, mind and spirit during the longer, quiet pauses between movements.

I believe that listening and caring for ourselves in mind, body and spirit is necessary for finding balance in our daily lives. Yoga and meditation have helped me find balance and relieve stress, and are both part of my self-care journey.

Each person and practice is different. We should embrace our own uniqueness and make our comparisons on our own progress and not that of others.

Yoga is a powerful tool for easing stress and anxiety by turning our focus inward by connecting movement and breath."

Lora French
Aerial Yoga Certified

Lora is a certified Aerial Yoga teaching and is currently studying for her 200 hour certification as a Nationally Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT).

My relationship with yoga began when I lived out of state seven years ago. It was then that I was introduced to the amazing physical and healing benefits a yoga practice can have on your body.

Because of life changes, I moved back to my hometown here in Piqua and started my yoga journey at Balance yoga by Amanda. Here is where I found a deeper transformation, not only physically but mentally, emotionally and spiritually. By becoming more flexible, reducing stress and anxiety and ultimately saying that my personal practice has helped provide peace and clarity within myself.

This summer I took the step along with Amanda and Lizzy to become a certified aerial yoga teacher. I’m excited and truly honored to share the love and passion I have for yoga and I’m looking forward to spreading the fun of this Ariel practice with all yogis that come to the studio.

My plate is full as I am an HR professional by day, photographer and a mom to one beautifully spirited a little lady. I enjoy spending time with my family the most. I’m a lover of anything dark chocolate, country music and YOGA!

Jessica Riesenbeck
RYT

Jessica recently received her 200 hour certification as a Nationally Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) through balanceYoga by Amanda’s first Yoga Teacher Training. Jessica has practiced yoga for several years to help settle anxiety and allow her to focus on being present in the moment. She loves yoga for what it has given to her and enjoys sharing it with and teaching it to others.

“In the beginning of my practice I was not comfortable attending a class as a beginner because I did not know what to expect and haven’t always been comfortable in my body, especially in yoga pants. I began private sessions with Amanda which opened the door to confidence, to centering and focusing on my practice and not what was happening around me, and then to a community of people I adore. What I love so much about yoga, especially at balance yoga by Amanda is that it is for every body shape and size, it’s as much a mental and spiritual practice as it is a physical practice. When I am on my mat, I am at home. And it’s an honor and a gift to share yoga with others.”

Jessica is a Master Certified Life Coach, entrepreneur, wife and mom of two. She is a lover of fresh flowers, music of all genres, dancing until she can’t dance anymore and belly laughs with family, friends and sometimes at herself.

She has found that yoga has been her true path towards being more present in her life and with her family.  She enjoys camping with her family, playing board games with her sons, and playing Euchre and Spades with her besties.
